As with any large event, unexpected things happen.  We had a few unfortunate occurances that caused scoring problems.  Checkpoint
2 was dropped due to the checkpoint sign getting blocked.  For future reference, cars need to pass the checkpoint sign and stop at the control
vehicle.  Do NOT stop at the checkpoint sign (7.1.3).  Stopping at the checkpoint sign usually means you are blocking the road.
Several cars did this and the resulting back-up did not allow accurate clocking of several cars.  As a result, we dropped this checkpoint.
As we announced that evening, we found the timing clock at Checkpoint 1 had an anomaly.  Typically we would throw a leg with such an error,
however we had already dropped Checkpoint 2.  Several cars missed Checkpoint 1 and dropping both 1 and 2 would forgive these cars
for missing the control, which was unfair to those reaching all four.  We needed a solution which kept Checkpoint 1.  With limited time, we
attempted to fix the anomaly and came to the scores that were announced on Friday evening.  After further discussion, we decided the
method we had used penalized some cars while giving an undue advantage to others.   As a result we have rescored Checkpoint 1.
If you arrived at Checkpoint 1, regardless of what time you arrived, you were given a score of 0.  If you did not arrive at all you were scored with
a 300 point penalty (maximum late).
This revision changed a few finishing positions.  In Unlimited there is still a three-way tie for 1st.  GOOD JOB GUYS.
We see no fair method for tie breaking with this combination of fantastic scores.
1st Masters class was taken by Nick and Lynne Reynolds and 1st Novice goes to Matt and Amber Cosand.
This rally was designed to be a fun and relaxed event.  We hope that you enjoyed the roads and we appreciate all those who attended.
