Please note that it is no longer required that individuals who wish to partake in this series need be classified as a MASTERS CLASS rallyist.

~~This series has Independent Driver and Navigator championships & contestants can earn points in more than one class over the season

Here are the official Class definitions & applicable rules:

A) SOP Class (Paper Class)

-- All types of auxiliary odometers are allowed, provided they do not communicate with any computing device. No computing devices are allowed whatsoever. All calculations must be done longhand & not aided in any way by a calculating device.

During the season, points earned in any other class will not count toward the SOP championship.

B) Equipped Class

-- Any computing or calculating device may be used, provided that it does not have a direct input of actual distance traveled. All types of auxiliary odometers are allowed, provided they do not communicate with the computing device. This class is intended for teams using calculators, PDAs, laptops, GPS units or other hardware which does not meet the criteria for the Unlimited class.

During the season, points earned in any other class will not count toward the Equipped championship.

C) Unlimited

-- Any & all computing devices may be used & may communicate with any auxiliary odometer.

During the season, points earned in any other class will not count toward the Unlimited championship.

Addition information:

1. Contestants must work at least one event, but without running it. The first 3 (or best) rallies will be counted.
2. Contestants must be members of an NWRC club by June 1st of 2006.
3. Only the 4 all paved NWRC Monte Carlo events will count toward this championship.

We are changing the point spread to reflect less of difference between first place & second place. In addition, this change will also include scoring down to 8th place now. I think it's fair to say... "we will be expecting an even closer competition this year". And here is how it works:

• 1st Place... 10pts
• 2nd Place... 8pts
• 3rd Place... 6pts
• 4th Place... 5pts
• 5th Place... 4pts
• 6th Place... 3pts
• 7th Place... 2pts
• 8th Place... 1pt
