2006 Novice Championship Results

For this year, to help clarify what may have been confusing for last year, each grid will show the scores as accumulated...event by event, towards Novice Championship points earned only for individual drivers, & navigators. This will allow for accurate tracking of any driver/navigator "trade around" within the team as well as individual driver or navigator efforts.

Since we have more than enough events to score(10 Friday Nighters!!)....we are dropping RAINDROP from the Novice Championship & instead, using it as the "primier event" for the 2006 NWRC Club Monte Carlo/Tour Championship.

NEW & IMPROVED SCORING PLATFORM : Every Novice driver/co-driver that completes (turns in their scorecard & number at the ending location) for each Friday Nighter....gets ONE POINT. And the Novice driver/co-driver that wins that event gets one more point for their achievement.....but only for the first time that they came in first. Confusing? Nah, not reallly.....

So, what's the advantage of this scoring platform?.....it simply means that once a driver/co-driver has won an event...they must continue to compete in order to protect that one point lead throughout the entire series. Because, imagine if another driver/co-driver completes all of the years 10 events & wins just one of them....& the driver/co-driver that won the first event.....does not attend two events.....they will lose to some folks who were patient enough to keep coming back & improving their skills along the way....stay with it.

The likelihood that any two teams end up with the same number of points is low. The first part of the tie-breaker will be the number of total events won. For example:

Bold are actual WIN's. Team A only gets 2 points for their first win, but because they had two wins in the season, they beat Team B based upon winning more events. The second part of the tie-breaker is number of events finished.
